SilverKeeper is free Mac OS X software provided by LaCie Ltd, a manufacturer of PC storage products.
SilverKeeper will Backup, Compare, Synchronize or Restore volumes or folders on Macintosh computers running OS X. It can copy or compare volumes or folders of almost any writable device that is visible as a volume mounted on the Macintosh Desktop. This includes hard drives, removable media drives, and DVD-RAM drives; almost any internal or external Macintosh disk that can be mounted on your desktop.
SilverKeeper 2.x is a complete rewrite from earlier versions. No longer a Carbon app or Mac OS 9 compatible. SilverKeeper 2.x is for Mac OS X only and compatible with Mac OS X 10.3.9, to 10.6.8 (Snow Leopard).
Minimum requirements are Mac OS X 10.3.9 (Panther).
SilverKeeper 2.x is not compatible with Mac OS X 10.7 (Lion), or newer.
